Her Story

About Vianca

I have been in sales for many years, and I was trying to find an industry that was going to be relevant for years to come. I feel like human resources is essential because every company needs to hire people, and if we can make an impact with the solutions we provide for these professionals, my job can be relevant while also making a real impact. I take a consultative approach to my work, having been in the industry for so long that I've met different players and witnessed the evolution from paper trails to AI. I work as a problem solver, asking discovery questions and providing solutions for people teams, CHROs, controllers, and CFOs. The software I sell has solutions for each of these roles. I'm blessed because I can sell to any industry without vertical limitations, and I have clients all over the United States, Europe, and Latin America. What I enjoy most about my work is being a people person and building strong relationships throughout my process. People tend not to trust salespeople, but I build relationships that continue after the sales process because I want to be of help. I'm a people connector, and this job gives me the opportunity to meet people across the globe. This morning I was meeting with somebody in Dublin, and I get to work with people here in the U.S., experiencing different perspectives. It almost feels like traveling.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would say to find what makes you happy, because this is something that is long term, not just 6 months and then change. Change is okay, failure is okay, but find what makes you happy and work hard towards it. You're gonna have different seasons of life, and depending on where you are at, find what is that motivation at the time. When I was younger, my motivation was to make money, to pursue a degree, and to continue to climb the corporate ladder. Then, as I continued to grow, I started to pivot into something else, to do something that makes you proud. Because at the end of the day, that's what pays the most to me. I go to bed, and I know that I did my best, and that's all I care about. Do it with integrity, give your best, and everything is a matter of perspective. Nothing is as good or as bad as it seems, so try to find that perspective.
