About Vicky
Vicky Rondon has built a career spanning about 30 years in the fashion industry. A Venezuelan native who lived in Venezuela until eight years ago, she graduated as a fashion designer and went on to earn a PhD on patterns. She opened her first atelier shortly after graduation and later built her career in Valencia, working with many brands as a creative director. Rondon also taught in the fashion industry as a professor, covering topics such as pattern making. In addition to her formal education, which includes a community manager course and a fashion photographic course, she began studies in merchandising but completed only three semesters due to a family emergency. Today, she serves as a service leader at Chipotle Mexican Grill, a role she took after a personal loss and which she values for its learning opportunities and structure. She maintains her passion for fashion by working weekends with brands in Venezuela, often as a personal shopper, and emphasizes connecting with people, honesty, and continuous learning in both her personal and professional life.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Be open and be kind in every moment. Nothing is personal. Have no fear.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Do your thousand percent every time. No matter what. Experience is more valuable than money because you learn and make connections.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Honesty is the first thing humans have to have. If we are more honest, we are gonna be more kind.
