Her Interview

Ten minutes with Vicky

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to hard work, a commitment to continuous learning, dedication to my role, and a focus on delivering more value than is expected. This approach was instilled in me by my father, who always emphasized the importance of truly earning your pay.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received came from my father: “Pay your rent.” To me, this means always earning your paycheck through hard work and ensuring you make a measurable difference for your employer or client.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would advise young women entering my industry to learn AI and gain a solid understanding of business processes, pursue commercial opportunities whenever possible, and obtain any certifications required by government regulations. Most importantly, remain a lifelong learner and be prepared to dedicate energy and focus to your work.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenges in my field right now include budget-driven contract volatility, clearance expiration cycles, pricing pressures, and visa-related hiring dynamics that impact contracting. At the same time, there are significant opportunities in AI, particularly around securing data and infrastructure as AI adoption continues to expand.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are honesty, integrity, and a strong work ethic. I prioritize delivering measurable impact and creating real value in everything I do.
