Her Interview

Ten minutes with Victoria

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my loved ones and my drive to be the best version me. I want to continue to build my brand and create a lasting legacy.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Always be eager to learn. There's going to be so many opportunities for you out there, and I need to lean into them, because I know I’ll gain something from it!

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would tell them to not be afraid to be the newbie. It can be pretty intimidating, because you're a small fish in a big pond, but to just remain authentic, be confident and go for it! Remember your craft and never doubt yourself! You deserve to be there!

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge is juggling a very busy schedule of work and building a brand! As far as opportunities, I have been invited to host more seminars and do pop-ups! I love doing and mini interviews, train new people, be a panelist, and inspire people with my journey. Any time I can pour into young women of color, and also collaborate with brands in Kansas City it’s a win for me!

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Deep, meaningful connections. Building community, and then just prioritizing your mental and physical health. If we all put a little bit more love back into ourselves we’d be much better off!
