Her Story
About Victoria
Victoria Kalligeros is a seasoned human resources executive, organizational development strategist, and people-first leadership advocate with more than 30 years of experience helping organizations build stronger cultures, develop effective leaders, and align human capital initiatives with long-term business success. As the Founder and Principal Consultant of Kalli HR, Victoria recently took the entrepreneurial leap to create a consulting firm centered on a mission she is deeply passionate about: putting the human back into Human Resources. Recognizing that many organizations have shifted toward viewing employees as numbers rather than people, she works closely with clients to build workplaces that prioritize employees first while still supporting strategic growth and operational success. Her goal is to serve as a true strategic partner to organizations by helping them create healthier workplace cultures where both businesses and employees can thrive together. Victoria’s career has been defined by her ability to balance compassionate leadership with strategic HR execution, a skill that has become her professional trademark. Prior to launching Kalli HR, she served as Chief Human Resources Officer for Eastern Wholesale Fence LLC, where she worked across two separate tenures totaling nearly 14 years and played a key role in organizational development, employee relations, leadership support, workforce strategy, and culture transformation. Throughout her career, she has also held senior leadership positions including Human Resources Director and Senior HR Manager, gaining extensive experience across manufacturing, banking, and organizational consulting environments. Victoria is especially passionate about creating practical training programs that inspire real workplace change and simplifying HR processes in ways that make them easier for leaders and employees to understand, apply, and embrace. Interestingly, Victoria’s path into human resources happened unexpectedly. Originally pursuing accounting studies, she accepted an entry-level HR opportunity offered by an HR director while searching for work early in her career, a decision that ultimately shaped the trajectory of her professional life. Since then, she has built a reputation as a trusted leader known for authentic communication, people-centered leadership, and a commitment to helping organizations grow without losing sight of the individuals who make their success possible. In addition to her executive leadership experience, Victoria holds an Associate Degree in Psychology from Suffolk County Community College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Metaphysics from University of Sedona. She is also SHRM-SCP certified, reflecting her deep expertise and ongoing dedication to excellence within the HR profession.

Ten minutes with Victoria
01What do you attribute your success to?
I would honestly say hard work and treating people the way I want to be treated, and integrity. Integrity is really huge for me. I think it defines my reputation and who I am. If you were to ask anybody that I have worked with or worked for, they would say I have great integrity. That's very important to me being transparent, being honest. These values have guided me throughout my career and have been fundamental to building trust with the people I work with.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
I've received two pieces of advice that have really stuck with me throughout my lifetime. The first was from my mother, who told me that if you work hard, you can be or do anything that you want to do. She said don't expect things to be handed to you, but if you do the hard work, it will pay off. The other piece of advice was from an old boss of mine who told me that to succeed in HR, if you have integrity, it will take you far. That's something I've always followed, and it's been a guiding principle throughout my career.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice is probably a little different for women. I recently wrote an article, which I posted on my LinkedIn page, about women in leadership and learning how to lead without losing themselves - learning how to lead authentically. For years, I always thought that we had to act like men to be successful, or be like men, not show emotion. But I've realized over time that it's about being authentic. It's about being who you fully are. So I think that is really important for women - it's about being who they are authentically, without changing themselves to kind of fit what we're told leadership should look like.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I think the biggest challenge with HR is definitely stress management and burnout. HR covers so much - recruitment, benefits, employee relations issues it just encompasses so much that burnout and stress can affect a lot of HR professionals. I think that is probably the biggest challenge: learning how to balance your work life and your private life. That's actually where my metaphysical degree came into play. Meditation really helped me keep myself focused and grounded and kept me from getting burned out.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity, transparency, and honesty are the most important values to me. Integrity is really huge for me I think it defines my reputation and who I am. Being transparent and being honest in all my interactions is fundamental to how I conduct myself both professionally and personally. These values guide everything I do and are essential to building trust with the people I work with.
