Her Story
About Victoria
I recently opened my own social media agency called Digital in the City, which I started around December of last year. I'm currently in the onboarding and transitioning phase of becoming an entrepreneur, and I have a couple of clients that I'm working with. Before starting my own business, I was in the TV industry for a little while, where I worked as both a TV person and Social Media Manager. I've been in the social media industry for around 5 years now. I decided to go a different route and pursue entrepreneurship because I wanted to create my own path. My strongest skills are creativity, hard work, and organization. I really enjoy creating content and connecting with other people, especially from my community. Social media has opened a different kind of path for me, and I'm passionate about what I do. One of the things I'm most proud of is my education - as an immigrant, my lifelong dream was always to go to college, and when I got the opportunity to attend the University of California, San Diego on a full scholarship, it was a really amazing time for me. That experience opened doors and allowed me to meet amazing people, and it really shaped me into who I am today.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my family and my fiance. I really have a strong support system, and they have been the ones that have always supported me every single step of the way. Having people who believe in me and stand by me through every decision and challenge has been invaluable to my journey.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would say to just take risks. Sometimes we can overthink things, and you will never find a perfect path. Everyone's path is different. I think that as long as you believe in yourself, and as cliche as that sounds, because sometimes we can forget that too, you'll start to see results once you push yourself to become the person that you are trying to be. I think that when you have the bigger picture and your goal straight, as long as you keep going, that's the best thing that you can do.
