Her Interview
Ten minutes with Victoria
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a passion for all things beauty. I see the world and can spot a mistake or see how it could be better. It's more than just the hair, it's building people.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice came from my tax advisor and friend Trudy Parson, who helped me become more organized in every aspect of life, not just the beauty industry.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Have passion and care for people. Seek mentors in your space. Don't be afraid to seek advice from someone who knows the field and ask the hard questions to improve.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Many talented stylists lack people skills or passion and enter for money only, leading to failure. Need foundational business knowledge beyond beauty school like taxes and organization, otherwise you won't stay or succeed.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
God is everything. Without Him I'm nothing. My marriage to my husband and family are most important. Everything else comes second to that.
