01What do you attribute your success to?
My success comes down to consistency. I built daily habits that supported growth, worked long hours, and took on projects outside my comfort zone. I asked for advice, kept learning/reading books, and showed up every day ready to improve.
I put my name in the hat for opportunities to help me grow even if they felt out of reach. If I saw a gap, I didn’t wait for permission. I created a solution and shared the results. That initiative led to promotions, recognition, and greater influence.
At the core, my growth has always come from going above and beyond, pushing myself, and committing to continuous personal development.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Build your brand. Not just online for LinkedIn but at your company. Be intentional about your reputation and your relationships in your job. They matter way more to career growth and overall success than you might think.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
While you are young, go above and beyond, not to please your boss, but to do it for yourself. Learn what your limits are. Push yourself further than you think you can. Take on projects that feel out of your reach and develop your “figure it out” factor.
Most high-level executives aren’t always the smartest or the best at their jobs. What sets them apart is their figure it out factor. They develop a belief in themselves that no matter the challenge ahead, even if it’s far beyond anything they’ve solved before, they are confident they can figure it out. And the people around them notice that too.
Develop a mindset of “how hard can it be?” and take on challenges at full speed.
When you get further along in your career, you’ll know where your boundaries are and where you need more balance. But in the beginning, it’s your time to stretch yourself and build yourself into someone you admire—not for anyone else or for a boss, but for you. Prove to yourself, over and over again, that you are more resilient, a better problem solver, a bigger risk-taker, and overall more competent than you may have thought.
And most of all, jump in even if you don’t think you’re ready. It will all be worth it.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Sales enablement and sales training are always important to a sales organization, but proving their value to the broader company can be difficult to measure. The economy is uncertain, and when the economy is uncertain, the staffing industry suffers. Hiring managers are hesitant to bring on new employees if they aren’t confident the company can afford to keep them, which puts staffing firms at a disadvantage.
Working in sales enablement at a SaaS company focused on the staffing industry means you have to continuously prove your value, even when the sales team isn’t performing as well as expected. Despite those challenges, our team has been able to stay afloat. Leveraging AI to work more efficiently and effectively has been a game changer for us.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
My kids are the most important thing to me now. Early in my career, before I had kids, I went full throttle. I redlined it, hit the pedal to the floor, and worked 80-hour weeks. I know what that life is like. I know what it means to push my limits and go above and beyond.
At this point in my life, now that I have kids, my focus has shifted. I’m deeply committed to doing meaningful, high-quality work and continuing to develop myself professionally. But when I’m home, I’m home. I’m present. I’m developing myself as a mom and spending quality time with my kids.
