About Victoria
Victoria Yakimovicz serves as recruiting lead for data and AI in Louisville, Kentucky. With nearly eight years in the recruiting field and six years in her current lead role, she focuses on connecting data and AI professionals with opportunities. Her responsibilities include helping candidates onboard to contracts, providing interview preparation and resume reviews, and guiding individuals through career transitions in the data and AI space. She also leads a team of recruiters, mentoring them on operational skills and professional development. Earlier in her career, Victoria worked in sales and advertising at a local Louisville news station, in car sales, and at the courthouse in probate and juvenile court. She completed six years of service in the US Army. Victoria is the ERG lead for her company's internal veterans group and a board member of the Louisville Fire Foundation, where she channels her passion for supporting veterans and first responders in their career changes.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I have a motto... there's always a pizza. ... There is always a way for you to eat if you're hungry enough. ... There is a place for you at the table. You are gonna make it happen, but you don't have to hang on to that recipe that you've burnt to a crisp... eat the pizza, and tomorrow's another day you can try again.
