Her Interview

Ten minutes with Vindhya

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to resilience, finding the right mentors at the right time, and maintaining balance through yoga and meditation. Perseverance, continuous learning, and building strong relationships have also played an important role in my professional journey. I believe staying grounded, remaining open to new perspectives, and learning from others have helped me navigate challenges and grow as a technology leader.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The most meaningful career advice I have received is to trust myself and not strive for perfection. My mentors taught me that I do not need to have every detail figured out before taking action. Instead, I should commit to a goal, take the first step, and work through the challenges along the way. This guidance has encouraged me to embrace opportunities, learn through experience, and approach new challenges with confidence.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I encourage young women to learn as much as they can without feeling that they must be perfect. Build a strong foundation by understanding technology from the ground up, staying informed about emerging trends, and continuously developing your skills. Be patient with yourself, build meaningful relationships across business and clinical teams, and learn from the people around you. Most importantly, never lose sight of the purpose behind your work or how technology decisions can affect patient health and well-being.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Artificial intelligence presents significant opportunities as well as important challenges for healthcare technology. AI can improve operational efficiency, support better decision-making, automate workflows, and enhance healthcare experiences. However, organizations must adopt these technologies responsibly by establishing strong governance and addressing cybersecurity, data privacy, and regulatory compliance. I believe the greatest opportunity lies in using AI to deliver measurable business and healthcare value while maintaining trust, security, accountability, and appropriate human oversight.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

In my personal life, I value collaboration, clear communication, meaningful relationships, and giving back to the community. I also prioritize maintaining balance and staying grounded. Professionally, I believe in transparency, delivering on commitments, and creating an environment where people feel respected, supported, and empowered. I lead with curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning because I believe that strong relationships, shared accountability, and ongoing growth are essential to both individual and organizational success.
