01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

A mentor told me I was the dumbest smartest person she had met. She explained that as a minority in this field, I am always looked at through the eye of a needle, so I have to make smart, good decisions that I have really thought about and stand by.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

You really have to be in it with a passion, not for money. Because this field doesn't make lucrative money. But you have to be able to go home every day thinking you made an impact on someone.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Having a good strong ethic background, meaning what I say, saying what I mean, communication, having that caring and nurturing for others, just still being consistent and stern. To be able to run a good, efficient, loving, healthy center.
