Her Story

About Vivian

I've been in banking for almost 20 years, and I've spent the last 12 years at Citibank working across multiple different industries and roles. Throughout my time there, I've done multiple things including procurement, company and business operations, and now I'm in operations as a Senior Vice President, a role I've held for about a year and a half. We manage all the operations that happen, and our day-to-day can look very different depending on what happens. Because we manage so many tickets, we definitely have to be resilient. My most notable professional achievement is making sure my staff is good and making sure that we are ready and resilient for all situations. I'm what they call the fixer - I really want to make sure that I can help anybody in my positions or my former positions. I don't care about my network, I don't want to be on stage, I don't want any of that. I just want to be someone that can help and be a hero to everybody.

01What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

What's most important to me is making sure that my kids can see me in this light. I don't care about voice recognition, I just want to make sure students are good. I just want to be a hero to everybody. I am what they call the fixer - I really want to make sure that I can help anybody in my positions or my former positions. I don't care about my network, I don't want to be on stage, I don't want any of that. I just want to be someone that can help. Making sure my staff is good and making sure that we are ready and resilient for all situations is what matters most to me. I also want to make people and females really aware of our challenges, which is why I wrote my book about being a survivor.
