About Vivian
Vivian Villanueva is the founder of Crown of Faith Network, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering women through faith-based programs, community outreach, and transitional support services. She leads a board of directors, organizes fundraising efforts, and coordinates events with a mission to provide practical resources, life skills workshops, and partnerships with local communities to support women in transition. In addition, she hosts The Crown of Faith Podcast, highlighting real women’s stories of resilience, faith, and personal growth. With a strong background in counseling and healthcare, Vivian practiced counseling for six years before shifting her focus to nonprofit leadership and financial education. Since 2022, she has worked in life insurance, helping families understand financial protection and living benefits while creating flexible opportunities to support her community. Vivian launched her ministry programming in early 2025 and successfully secured nonprofit status in October, reflecting her commitment to purposeful, service-driven leadership. 01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my work with a nonprofit organization focused on mental health and wellness services, and most importantly, to the guidance and strength I receive from the Lord.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Figure out what you would love to do for free and turn it into a business. That’s how you find out where your passion and purpose is.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would advise young women entering this industry to prioritize mentorship and collaboration. Building relationships with experienced professionals and working alongside others not only accelerates learning but also creates a strong support network that can help you navigate challenges and grow your impact.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
There’s so much work to be done in non profit projects.
It comes down to really finding the right team of people to make it happen. It’s all about teamwork and collaboration.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are integrity, service, and spiritual growth. My background in life insurance taught me the importance of helping families plan and protect their futures, while my personal journey through postpartum depression deepened my commitment to faith, resilience, and supporting others through life’s challenges. These experiences guide how I lead, serve, and connect with my community every day.

How Faith-Led Leadership Unfolds Through Obedience, Not Clarity
I didn’t start my journey with clarity — I started with obedience. And through that obedience, purpose began to unfold.
Like many women, I’ve walked through different seasons and career paths. I’ve worked in counseling, explored business, and pursued opportunities that taught me resilience, leadership, and how to support others. At times, it looked like pivoting. At times, it felt like starting over.
But looking back, I can see that none of it was wasted.
Every season was preparation.
Purpose Isn’t Always Linear
The truth is, purpose rarely looks like the polished highlight reel we see online. Sometimes purpose looks like healing. Sometimes it looks like letting go. Sometimes it looks like trusting God when the next step doesn’t make sense.
My turning point came when I rededicated my life to Jesus. In that season, I realized I had been striving for success but longing for significance. I didn’t just want to build something for myself — I felt called to serve, to pour into women, and to help them discover their identity and calling in Christ.
That realization reshaped how I viewed leadership and success.
Leadership, I learned, isn’t just about influence or visibility. It’s about stewardship. It’s about being willing to say, “God, lead me,” even when the plan isn’t fully clear.
Faith-led leadership starts internally before it’s ever visible externally.
Trust Over Visibility
We live in a culture that tells women to have it all together — to know their niche, their brand, their five-year plan. But faith doesn’t operate on full visibility. Faith requires trust.
Hebrews 11:1 reminds us: “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” If we could see the whole plan, we wouldn’t need faith.
Many women delay their calling because they feel unqualified or uncertain. They wait to feel ready. They wait for confidence. They wait for guarantees.
But purpose isn’t unlocked by having all the answers — it’s unlocked by saying yes to the next step.
A vision that is only about personal success can quickly lead to burnout. But a vision rooted in service creates lasting impact. When your purpose connects to serving others, it becomes bigger than fear or doubt.
Three Truths I’ve Learned
For any woman navigating transition, uncertainty, or a desire for more, here are three truths I’ve learned along the way:
- Your past is preparation, not disqualification.
- Every experience — even the hard or confusing seasons — can be used for impact. God wastes nothing.
- Obedience matters more than perfection.
- You don’t need a flawless plan. You need a willing heart. Clarity often comes after the step of faith.
- Leadership begins with identity.
- When you know who you are in Christ, you stop striving to prove yourself and start serving from a place of confidence and alignment.
Today, I no longer measure purpose by titles or timelines. I measure it by impact, alignment, and faithfulness. Purpose is not about building your name — it’s about stewarding what God has placed in your hands.
To the woman reading this who feels stuck, behind, or unsure: you are not late. You are not disqualified. You are not forgotten.
You may not see the full picture yet, but God does.
Take the step. Trust the process. Walk by faith.
Purpose often meets you on the other side of obedience.
