Her Story

About Viviana

Viviana R. Diaz is an accomplished music educator, entrepreneur, and industry leader with more than three decades of experience in piano instruction and music education. As the Founder, President, and Director of Miami Music Stars Inc., which she established in 1994, she has transformed her passion for teaching into one of South Florida's most respected private music studios. Under her leadership, Miami Music Stars has earned an outstanding reputation for excellence, receiving numerous accolades, including Florida's Best Music School recognition and more than 170 five-star Google reviews. Her mission is to inspire students of all ages to develop musical excellence, confidence, discipline, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts.

Beyond leading her award-winning studio, Viviana has earned widespread recognition for her contributions to music education. She serves as Chairperson of the National Guild of Piano Teachers through the American College of Musicians and has also served as Superintendent of the Miami-Dade County Youth Fair Performing Arts Piano Competitions. A Steinway & Sons Educational Partner and multiple-time Steinway Top Piano Teacher, she has been honored with the Steinway Miami Golden Award and consecutive National Honor Roll of Guild Teachers distinctions. In addition to teaching hundreds of students, she mentors aspiring music educators and actively supports the next generation of piano instructors through professional development and leadership.

Viviana's career reflects a commitment to following purpose over convention. Although she earned a degree in pharmacy, she chose to pursue her lifelong passion for music, beginning her teaching career at just 15 years old. Her philosophy emphasizes perseverance, smart decision-making, and helping students overcome the fear of performing while building confidence through music. Recognized as one of Florida's Influential Women for 2026, Viviana continues to make a lasting impact through exceptional instruction, entrepreneurial leadership, and an unwavering dedication to enriching the lives of students, families, and fellow educators.
