Vivienne Bassa

Vivienne Bassa is a teacher by profession with 16 years of total experience who also pursues educational consulting and tutoring. Education runs strong in her family, with her mother teaching kindergarten for over 30 years and her father teaching seminary. She began her career in Alabama before relocating to Texas, where she is entering her fifth year of teaching. During a five-year hiatus as a stay-at-home mom to homeschool her oldest child on the autistic spectrum, she started her own tutoring company and gained confidence through successful student outcomes in ACT prep and other subjects from kindergarten through 12th grade. In 2015 she had felt like a failure at a Title I school but returned to the classroom after separating in 2020. Bassa authored the e-book 7 Keys to a Higher Score, drawing on her expertise to help students achieve higher scores on the SAT and other high-stakes tests and diagnostics. She applies these strategies in her classroom, including at an F-rated campus where students showed significant growth, and aims to share them through consulting with teachers, schools, and districts. Her philosophy centers on the belief that every student can learn when the environment supports it, with self-belief as a key factor, and she aspires to advocate for improvements in the U.S. education system.
