Ten minutes with Wendy
01What do you attribute your success to?
Definitely my mentor and being given an opportunity. Everyone gets one shot at certain things, and if you don't grab on to it and take hold of it, you can lose it. I'm thankful to have been given that opportunity.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Just be the best that you can. Don't cut corners. Try to be the best, and always learn. There's always something to learn. Never stop learning.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Seeing a repeat cycle where new people in the industry discover things I learned 15 years ago. I have to bite my tongue and nod, but take out what I don't know. The business is new since 2020, but I've been through the whole system already. Things don't change much; only faces, problems, devices, and technology change a little.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Dedication, trying to be better every day.
