Her Story

About Wendy

Wendy Julien is a NASM-certified Personal Trainer based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with over a decade of experience in the fitness and wellness industry. She is the founder of PinkBerryBoost LLC, a holistic fitness company she established to provide personalized training programs focused on cardio, strength training, nutrition, weight loss, body sculpting, and muscle development. Through her work, she emphasizes creating a supportive environment where clients can pursue both physical transformation and long-term lifestyle balance.

Wendy’s approach to personal training extends beyond physical fitness, integrating mental, emotional, and energetic well-being into her coaching philosophy. She works closely with clients to explore how past trauma, emotional patterns, and self-perception influence their relationship with food, exercise, and overall health. By combining fitness guidance with trauma-informed awareness, she helps clients identify and address the root causes of behavioral patterns that may be impacting their progress and self-confidence.

Currently pursuing a master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, Wendy is expanding her practice to include a deeper understanding of the connection between emotional states and physical health. Her holistic methodology blends modern fitness training with principles of mind-body balance, empowering clients to achieve sustainable transformation. Through her work as a trainer, mentor, and advocate, she remains committed to guiding individuals toward improved physical health, emotional healing, and overall well-being.

Ten minutes with Wendy

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success primarily to my mother and the experiences I had growing up watching her navigate life’s struggles. Seeing her endure hardship, along with observing how many women around her were often self-critical and unsupported by one another, shaped my understanding of resilience, self-worth, and the importance of kindness toward oneself and others. As a daughter, I often longed to be truly seen and understood, which motivated my personal growth and desire to live more authentically and confidently. Being by her side even in her final moments deepened my appreciation for her sacrifices and strengthened my commitment to helping other women recognize their value, embrace self-love, and feel seen in their own journeys.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to stay focused on the mission, not just the money. In the beginning, you may not see an immediate return on your efforts, but through consistency, discipline, service, and building meaningful relationships, the seeds you plant will eventually grow. Stay committed to your purpose, trust the process, and remember that every action you take today is laying the foundation for what you hope to build tomorrow.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering my industry is to be kind to yourself and give yourself grace as you learn and grow. You don’t have to have everything figured out right away, and it’s okay to move at your own pace. Embrace what makes you different, because your individuality is a strength, not a limitation.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is that many approaches to fitness focus primarily on external outcomes while overlooking the internal root causes of behavior, such as trauma and mental health. Without addressing these underlying factors, long-term transformation can be difficult to sustain. At the same time, there is a strong opportunity to evolve the field by integrating more holistic modalities—such as acupuncture and Oriental medicine—alongside fitness. This more integrative approach allows for a deeper understanding of the mind-body connection and supports more lasting, meaningful change for individuals.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are self-kindness, honest communication with myself, grounding, and embracing feminine energy. I strive to treat myself with compassion while also staying truthful about what I need, feel, and experience. Staying grounded helps me remain balanced and intentional in my decisions, and embracing feminine energy allows me to move through life with softness, confidence, and authenticity.
