What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to discipline, responsibility, and strong self-management, especially in a remote work environment where focus and accountability are essential. I take ownership of my work, stay committed to my goals, and consistently strive for efficiency and high performance. Whether pursuing my associate degree or working toward my bachelor’s degree, I remain dedicated and determined. Above all, my faith in God provides me with strength and guidance, helping me stay motivated and grounded in everything I do.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would advise young women entering my industry to believe that nothing is impossible and that every goal they set is achievable with discipline, ownership, and responsibility. There may be negativity or doubt from others—even from those close to you—but it’s important to stay focused and not let that discourage you. Trust your abilities, remain committed to your path, and keep moving forward with confidence and determination.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field is the rise in drug overdoses, particularly involving opioids. This issue has significantly impacted young people and is a key reason I chose to pursue healthcare administration. I believe there is a critical need for stricter oversight of prescriptions and greater awareness among providers when prescribing opioids, especially to individuals at risk of addiction. As a future healthcare administrator, I aim to help implement more effective policies and management strategies to address this crisis and reduce the number of preventable overdoses.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are respect, understanding, and active listening. I believe that treating others with respect, taking the time to understand different perspectives, and truly listening fosters stronger relationships, better communication, and more meaningful outcomes in everything I do.
