About Wendy
Wendy Murray-Baptiste, MPM, is a caterer, event planner, and the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of TASTEiT Parties, a luxury culinary experiences company based in Conyers, Georgia. With more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality and events industry and over 12 years as a business owner, Wendy has established herself as a leader in creating memorable experiences that connect people through food, culture, and conversation. Through TASTEiT Parties, she specializes in luxury catering, experiential cuisine, corporate events, and traditional catering, transforming every gathering into an elevated and meaningful culinary experience.
A self-taught chef with a strong background in leadership, project management, and people development, Wendy holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources and a Master of Project Management (MPM) from the Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University. Her expertise in strategic planning, team leadership, and event execution has supported the growth of her business and enabled her to deliver exceptional experiences for clients. She also founded the Passport for Your Palate chef collective, an initiative created to provide opportunities for culinary professionals while celebrating diverse flavors, cultures, and talent within the food industry.
Wendy’s passion for hospitality began during her upbringing in Trinidad, where she developed a love for hosting events and cooking while witnessing the ability of food to bring people together. She believes everyone deserves to experience a sense of luxury through thoughtfully prepared cuisine and meaningful connections. As a 10-year brain aneurysm survivor, Wendy attributes her success to remaining aligned with God’s plan, maintaining focus through challenges, and trusting the process. Outside of her professional endeavors, she enjoys traveling, exploring global cuisines, spending time with family, and supporting initiatives that help feed the hungry and create opportunities for community connection.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to staying aligned with God’s plan for my life and maintaining the determination to pursue my goals despite challenges along the way. I have always had the ability to remain focused and committed, allowing me to navigate obstacles, distractions, and unexpected detours while finding my way back to my purpose. Growing up in Trinidad, I developed a passion for hosting events and discovered the powerful impact that food and shared experiences can have on bringing people together. I believe everyone deserves to experience a sense of luxury and joy through exceptional food and meaningful moments. I also credit my success to my journey as a 10-year brain aneurysm survivor, which strengthened my faith, resilience, and appreciation for life. Through every chapter, I continue to trust God’s plan and use my experiences to inspire others.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have ever received is to trust the process. I have learned that success is not always achieved overnight, and every experience, challenge, and opportunity plays an important role in shaping my journey. By remaining patient, staying committed to my goals, and embracing each step along the way, I have been able to grow personally and professionally while continuing to move forward with confidence.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are connection, authenticity, gratitude, and creating meaningful experiences for others. While food is not simply a hobby, I truly enjoy exploring different cuisines, discovering new places, and connecting with people through shared experiences. I value the opportunity to travel, learn from different cultures, and build relationships with those I meet along the way. Most importantly, I cherish spending quality time with my family and believe that nurturing relationships, embracing new experiences, and bringing joy to others are essential parts of a fulfilling life.
