Q

What do you attribute your success to?

My success comes down to three things: resilience, a willingness to change, and consistent action. I learned a lot in corporate leadership, but my biggest growth came when I slowed down, got honest about what wasn’t working, and built a new chapter on purpose. Staying open has led to moments I never could have planned, from Iron Will becoming a bestseller to the speaking invitations that followed. I keep learning and stretching, because growth keeps me honest and effective. I keep showing up, and I measure success by impact, when someone takes a step forward because of something I shared.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

“Do the job you want next, not just the job you have.” It pushed me to take initiative, build skills before I had the title, and earn trust through results.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Trust your instincts, and don’t confuse overwork with excellence. Build your skills, speak up sooner than feels comfortable, and protect your energy with clear boundaries. Look for mentors and sponsors who tell you the truth and open doors. You’re allowed to change direction, your path can evolve, and reinvention can be a strength.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge right now is helping leaders sustain performance without burning people out, especially in constant change. Many high performers are also rethinking what success looks like, which creates real transition pressure. The opportunity is huge, organizations are finally investing in resilience, healthier leadership norms, and practical tools that improve retention, decision-making, and culture. AI can support this through better learning, communication, and scale, as long as it stays human-led.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Authenticity, self-trust, and service are at the top of my list. I care about doing work that’s real, aligned, and useful, not performative.

I also value resilience and personal responsibility, keeping promises to myself, doing the hard inner work, and showing up with steadiness when life gets demanding. After years in high-intensity corporate leadership, I’ve learned to slow down, protect my energy, and be intentional with my time.

Growth matters to me too, staying curious, learning, and evolving. And I value collaboration, treating people with respect, and building environments where others feel seen, supported, and capable.

The best reward is impact. When someone tells me a talk helped them see their situation differently and take a next step, that’s everything.
