Whitney Boyd

I am very fortunate to be serving Lynchburg City Schools, and am proud to bring my years of counseling experience into my role. I have always had a heart for students and their families, and this position allows me to thrive in serving both! Prior to my time in Lynchburg City, I was honored to serve children in Foster Care and support the many wonderful families that were willing to take a chance on them. I was able to watch our kids grow and flourish because of an environment that supported and believed in their abilities. That same mentality is what I'm bringing with me as the Coordinator of Family and Community Engagement. The phrase "It takes a village" could not be more true when it comes to ensuring the academic, social/emotional, and behavioral support of our students. In the same way, our families deserve a high level of support and respect as they are instrumental in the success of their children!
