Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to perseverance and a strong commitment to follow-through. Earlier in my career, I faced a period of lost enthusiasm, and while I saw moving on as a natural step, others viewed it as a lack of completion. That experience pushed me to become more intentional about finishing what I start, approaching every task with integrity, accountability, and full effort until it is completed or ready to progress. I’ve since developed a solution-oriented and adaptable mindset, which has helped me navigate challenges and maintain consistent progress.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would advise young women entering the industry to recognize that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to leadership or success. Each person must find the style and path that works best for them. Stay open to feedback and continuous learning, as there is always an opportunity to grow and improve. Embrace adaptability, pursue your passions within your area of expertise, and remain authentic to who you are throughout your journey.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in the field is that advancing within large-venue operations often requires geographic or organizational moves, as opportunities for lateral growth within a single city or attraction can be limited. At the same time, this creates a meaningful opportunity: there is a growing need for consultants and shared training resources to help transfer valuable operational knowledge across venues, enabling organizations to benefit from proven expertise without requiring individuals to relocate.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I value balance, integrity, and intentional effort in both my work and personal life. Early in my career, I found it difficult to “turn off” my work mindset because my passion for success made it hard to step away from challenges. Over time, I learned the importance of resolving issues fully in the moment, then intentionally shifting my focus so I don’t dwell on negativity and can maintain perspective.

I also place a strong emphasis on doing things correctly, honestly, and with full commitment. I believe people connect more deeply with organizations when there is transparency and understanding, so I actively look for ways to share information and build that connection in meaningful ways.
