When I first picked up golf, I wasn’t looking for a hobby—I was looking for access. What I didn’t expect was to fall in love with the game itself.

As I spent more time on the course, I noticed a consistent gap: very few women from the insurance industry were present. I often found myself one of the only women at industry golf tournaments.

It became clear that golf wasn’t just a sport—it was where relationships are built, trust is formed, and opportunities quietly emerge. Without access to those spaces, many women were unintentionally left out of key business environments.

Rather than accept that gap, I built Fore.Sure Insurance Women.

In early 2025, we hosted our first group clinic in Los Angeles, bringing together 30 women—not just to learn golf, but to step into spaces designed for confidence, connection, and access.

What began as an idea quickly evolved into a growing network of women in insurance leveraging golf as a platform for relationship-building and career growth. In our second year, we brought Fore.Sure Insurance Women to Seattle and New York, followed by a multi-city range socials tour across Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., Denver, Atlanta, Orange County, Chicago, Sacramento, and Philadelphia in Q2 2026—powered by our volunteer hosts within the community.

I also launched Fore.Sure Founders, a sister community for female entrepreneurs, extending the mission across industries.

Based in Orange County and originally from Wuhan, China, I’m building Fore.Sure with a global vision: to redefine how women access opportunity through intentional, relationship-driven spaces—locally, nationally, and globally.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I credit much of my success to my mother and the values she instilled in me from a young age. She often told me, “You have nobody to count on but yourself,” and “You need to figure out how to become an entrepreneur—because building something is far more rewarding.” Those words stayed with me throughout my life. After her passing, they’ve taken on an even deeper meaning. I hear them often in my mind, guiding the decisions I make and the risks I’m willing to take.

Her influence went far beyond education—it shaped how I understand independence, resilience, and purpose. At the same time, she also taught me the importance of character: to be grounded, to lead with intention, and to never forget the value of hard work.

Over time, I’ve come to believe strongly in putting others first—creating opportunities, opening doors, and building spaces where people can grow. I’ve found that when you lead with service, growth and success often follows naturally.

That mindset is what drives me today: to show up consistently, to build in public, and to use my voice with intention. It’s not simply about being seen—it’s about creating impact and bringing others along in the process.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received came from my mom. She often told me, “You need to figure out how to become an entrepreneur—because building something is far more rewarding.”

Those words have stayed with me since I was a little girl. Over time, they’ve shaped how I approach risk, how I think about my career, and ultimately how I stepped into entrepreneurship.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women is to be intentional about the environments you put yourself in. If you want to grow your career, step into leadership, or scale your impact, you need to surround yourself with people who challenge you, support you, and expand your vision. Environment matters.

For me, that space became golf. I picked it up not long ago, and it’s already opened doors, built my confidence, and connected me to incredible opportunities. It’s more than just a sport—it’s a platform for growth.

I truly believe all it takes is one invitation to start something powerful. Everyone deserves access to those opportunities. That’s why I’m so passionate about creating spaces where people can step in, feel empowered, and realize, “I can do this—and actually enjoy it.”

When you’re in the right room, with the right people, growth becomes inevitable.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge I see is the gap that still exists in the insurance industry, which has traditionally been a male-dominated space—where business relationships are often built on the golf course, while many women have historically been positioned in more behind-the-scenes roles.

That imbalance is exactly what I wanted to address. My goal is to bring more women into this space—whether they’re experienced golfers, complete beginners, or somewhere in between—and show that they belong here too. I want to create a culture where women can see themselves stepping onto the course, building confidence, and realizing, “I can do this, and it’s actually fun.”

The opportunity is to reshape access. By opening doors to golf as a networking and business development tool, we can bridge a long-standing gap and give women the same opportunities to build relationships and grow their careers. On a broader level, the vision is to take that shift nationally—and eventually globally—so more women can participate in spaces where influence and opportunity are created.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

One of my core values is service—creating opportunities for other people. I believe in putting others first, with the trust that meaningful outcomes often come back in unexpected ways.

For me, it’s not transactional. It’s a mindset: when you focus on helping others grow, succeed, and access new opportunities, you naturally build something bigger than yourself. That belief is a key reason I choose to be visible, share my story, and use my voice.

I want to create access, open doors, and build spaces where people feel seen and supported. At my core, I believe everyone deserves an opportunity.

This principle of service continues to guide how I move through both life and business.
