Her Story

About Winnie

Winnie Odhiambo is a personal and executive coach, keynote speaker, and founder of Powerful Presence™, where she supports high-capacity women leaders in recalibrating identity, strengthening self-trust, and leading from a more grounded internal state. With an MBA and ongoing PhD studies in Transpersonal Psychology at Sofia University, she integrates leadership experience, psychology, and coaching to help clients move beyond pressure-driven performance into aligned, sustainable leadership. Her work centers on helping women become rooted in themselves so clarity, decision-making, and presence feel more natural and less effortful.

Before founding her coaching practice, Winnie served 20 years in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Major after rising from the enlisted ranks into senior healthcare and operational leadership roles. Her military career included managing complex healthcare operations, multimillion-dollar logistics and budgets, and cross-organizational coordination in high-stakes environments. This experience shaped her perspective on leadership, particularly the importance of calm authority, emotional regulation, and creating environments where teams can operate with trust, clarity, and psychological safety.

Today, she brings that leadership foundation into her coaching and speaking work, focusing on identity recalibration, nervous system awareness, and what she describes as “Powerful Presence”—a state where individuals are no longer overextended by internal pressure or misalignment. Through one-on-one coaching and group programs, she helps clients reduce internal friction, improve decision-making, and expand capacity without burnout. Her approach blends positive psychology, neuroscience-informed coaching, and lived leadership experience to support women in building lives and careers that feel both successful and internally coherent.

Ten minutes with Winnie

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to doing consistent inner work that has helped me build self-awareness and personal clarity. I have also invested in coaching and mentorship, which has been instrumental in my growth. In addition, I am deeply grateful for the people who have supported me and believed in my development along the way.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve received is to be aware of my strengths, to honor them fully, and to allow myself to shine. I’ve learned that when I recognize and embrace what I do well, I am able to contribute more meaningfully and show up at my highest potential.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are a belief in human potential and the importance of self-awareness. I also value honoring individual strengths, serving others, and leading with empathy. Advocacy is especially meaningful to me, particularly in supporting children with developmental differences.
