About Yaira
Yaira Rosa is a Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in Hawaii with additional credentials as a victim advocate through NOVA training. She earned an associate degree from Leeward Community College, a bachelor's in psychology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and a master's degree from Kansas State University in 2021. Since graduating, Rosa has worked as a victim advocate for the U.S. Army while maintaining a clinical therapist role in a Hawaii group practice. Her expertise centers on couples therapy as a Level 2 Gottman trained professional, and she has expanded into supporting student athletes facing performance anxiety, identity issues, and injury-related challenges. Rosa founded the 808 Athlete initiative, a volunteer mental health education program for student athletes across Hawaii islands that she funds through a small clothing brand. She previously practiced in Kansas and Texas as a military spouse and received the Molly Pitcher Award for contributions during her husband's Army service in field artillery.
