About Yana
Yana Powers founded the Live With Purpose health coaching program in 2003 after earning her certification as a health coach. She supports clients by taking a whole-person approach to wellness that encompasses mind, body, and spirit, helping them identify goals, build motivation, implement sustainable changes, and understand the roles of nutrition, sleep, movement, and overall well-being while navigating unexpected life challenges. In her parallel work as a community builder in women's philanthropy under the Jewish Federation, Powers engages and connects women in her community, inspiring them to lead, give back, and create impact. Drawing from her own experiences overcoming health difficulties, she is motivated to provide guidance and show others that options and results are always possible. Powers values kindness above all, using her experiences and strengths to positively influence those around her and create opportunities for growth, and she advises others to be their authentic selves and believe in their work.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Be yourself and be your authentic self. When it gets tough or you feel like you're not being heard, continue pushing forward and using your voice.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Believe in yourself. Believe in the work that you're doing. Be yourself.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Challenges like when something might not work out or you fail at it, but not looking at it as failure but part of the journey towards success. Without challenges we can't learn. Keep pushing forward in health challenges or unexpected life challenges, and in engaging women in philanthropy.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Being kind. Kindness speaks loudest. Using your experiences and strengths to be positive, influence people around you, and create opportunities for others to grow.
