What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the strong support system I have behind me. From my brokerage sponsors and professional team to my social media analyst, I am surrounded by people who believe in growth, accountability, and doing things the right way. Their guidance and collaboration allow me to stay focused on serving my clients at the highest level.
At the center of that support system is my family—my husband, my children, and my parents/siblings. My daughter especially loves to help me with real estate, like setting up cute décor for my open houses, and it’s so fun to have those tiny support systems in your life. My family is my daily motivation, reminding me why I work so hard and stay committed to excellence. They watch everything I do, and that inspires me to lead by example, stay disciplined, and show my daughter what dedication and perseverance look like for her future. Success, to me, is never a solo journey. It is built on teamwork, encouragement, and the people who stand beside you through every challenge and every milestone.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received was to stay consistent, stay disciplined, and never stop learning. Real estate — and business in general — is a long game, and success doesn’t come from one big moment. It comes from showing up every day, doing the work, and continuing to improve your skills, knowledge, and mindset. I was also taught early on to treat every client with professionalism, respect, and integrity, regardless of the size of the transaction.
That advice has stayed with me throughout my career because reputation is everything in this industry. When you focus on serving people well and doing the right thing, the results and referrals naturally follow. That guidance shaped how I run my business today — with structure, accountability, and a commitment to growth — and it continues to remind me that consistency is what builds trust, credibility, and long-term success. You can achieve anything you put your mind into. That's something my mom used to say to me when I was little.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to believe in your ability, stay consistent, and never be afraid to take up space in the room. Real estate can be competitive and fast-paced, but there is absolutely room for women to lead, succeed, and build powerful careers when they stay focused and committed to their goals. I would also encourage them to build strong systems early, stay organized, and treat their business like a profession from day one. Success doesn’t happen overnight, but discipline, preparation, and a willingness to learn will set you apart very quickly.
Surround yourself with mentors, ask questions, and stay curious — because there is something to learn from everyone you meet in this business. And most importantly, don’t be afraid to be a girl’s girl. I truly believe in women supporting women. I love seeing women built/owned businesses, collaborate, share knowledge, and lift each other up, and I encourage other women to do the same. When we support one another instead of competing in unhealthy ways, we create stronger networks, better opportunities, and a more positive industry for everyone. Stay confident, stay professional, and remember that your growth is a journey. Lead with integrity, support others along the way, and never stop learning.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Right now, one of the biggest challenges in real estate is that the market can be confusing for a lot of buyers and sellers, regardless of interest rates. Every situation is unique—if buyers have to buy or want to take advantage of an opportunity, they go ahead; if sellers need to sell, or even rent out their home, they move forward. I’m not a pushy-sales agent, but I am a negotiator, and I put all my energy into making sure my clients get the right deal for their situation. That’s exactly what I focus on explaining to my clients: understanding their options and helping them make the best decisions.
The opportunities on the other side are endless—just like any business, the results come from the time and effort you put in.
Real estate is not a 9-to-5 job, and the agents who treat it like a business and commit to learning and serving their clients see the rewards. One thing I always want people to understand is that real estate is so much more than just opening doors. Most of what we do happens behind the scenes—researching market trends, negotiating terms, coordinating inspections, managing contracts—and that work is what protects our clients and gets them the best results. Because the market can feel confusing, I always tell my clients to interview a few agents and choose the one they connect with and who truly understands their goals. Buying or selling a home is one of the biggest financial decisions of your life, so having someone you trust guiding you through it makes all the difference.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
For me, a lot of my values come from how I show up every day—both personally and professionally. I love being professional and dressing up nice, like I’m going to court or something—LOL—but that’s just me. I believe actions mean so much more than words, and I want my clients to really see who I am in everything I do. I’m also big on being available. I answer my phone because that’s where the business happens. Texting is fine, but there’s nothing like a good conversation where I can answer all your questions and guide you through every step. I want my clients to know I’m always just a phone call away.
I put a lot of value on loyalty—not a lot of people are loyal these days, and that honestly hits me deep. Loyalty shows character; it shows who you are. I also live by dedication and discipline—nothing worth having comes easy. Success and luck don’t just happen; they come from hard work, preparation, and recognizing the right opportunities when they appear.
That’s the philosophy behind my brand, “elitebyyashmit”—it’s all about being elite in every way: in your work, your mindset, and the way you show up for others. Going the extra mile, staying disciplined, and holding yourself to a high standard will always get you to the next level. At the end of the day, it’s about showing up fully, leading by example, and surrounding yourself with people who support and challenge you to be your best.
