Yessie Rivera

Yessie Rivera is a nonprofit and social services professional with approximately 20 years of experience across various nonprofit areas. She holds a degree in journalism and mass communications from Youngstown State University. Her career began after college when a relative in Florida helped her secure a position at MCA Florida in the Achievers program, which supported high-risk African American and Hispanic youth involved in or at risk of criminal activity through after-school programs and services. She has since worked in programs addressing domestic violence, homelessness, refugees, women, and families. Rivera finds deep fulfillment in supporting individuals during their most challenging times and building trust with those who are broken.
