Her Interview

Ten minutes with Yohana

01What do you attribute your success to?

God and my mother are the main reason I’m standing in this position. My mother worked very hard as a single mom and I saw every part of it, she raised me well. At the same time i give all the credit to my God Jesus Christ for giving me every opportunity to succeed and helping me overcome every challenge.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Be kind to everyone. First impressions matter. Life is a roller coaster and you never know where you’ll end up. Specially in the corporate world, people should think of you as someone they can count on, they can look up to or even see themselves in you. That way you will have an open door anywhere you go.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Stand on your ground and believe in yourself. Be confident and educate yourself as much as possible. Knowledge and confidence are key to success. Also, as a bonus, be passionate about your work and business. Wake up everyday looking forward to seeing your employees and colleagues.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Balancing work and personal life. This field is very demanding when it comes to schedules, so to be able to handle everything and bring it the results every business partner and customer wants to see while also being present for my family and provide quality time to my loved ones.

When it comes to opportunities, I get to work with a lot of impressive people. I’ve met the person behind a huge brand or an international organization… I built relationships every day and I see that as a big opportunity.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Honesty.

Compassion.

Strong work ethic and integrity.
