Her Story
About Yonca
Yonca Gerlach has spent eight years as an account executive in contract furniture, currently developing business for a dealer of the Canadian manufacturer Technion. She previously spent twelve years in the solid surface countertop industry, where she began in an entry-level office clerk role and advanced by learning through hands-on order and invoice work. In her current role, Yonca manages lengthy project cycles from conceptual planning with architects and designers through to installation, with particular focus on healthcare environments that require bleach-cleanable materials and strict adherence to ADA compliance and fire codes. She collaborates closely with a team of designers and coordinators to translate client needs into feasible layouts while handling proposals and site visits. Outside of direct sales, Yonca builds relationships through networking and volunteer efforts, including committee work with the Philadelphia Women in Construction Organization and an upcoming workshop guiding high school girls through hospital construction processes at CHOP. Her educational background includes nearly two years of college toward an associate degree. Yonca takes pride in maintaining strong, lasting professional relationships and aspires to move into a leadership position that allows her to delegate while leaving a legacy of mentorship in the industry.
