About Yoselyn
Yoselyn Santos is a healthcare executive and entrepreneur based in Orlando, Florida, with over two decades of experience in physician recruitment, provider onboarding, and multistate medical licensing. She is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Physicians Placement Services, Inc. (PPS Consulting Group), where she leads workforce strategy and consulting services focused on connecting physicians and advanced practice providers with underserved and critical-need healthcare communities. A member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), she is recognized for her leadership in strengthening access to primary care and improving healthcare delivery systems.
Originally from Puerto Rico, Yoselyn Santos holds a Master of Business Administration from Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. She began her career supporting medical professionals with career placement and licensing processes, later expanding into independent consulting and establishing her own firm after relocating to Florida as a single mother of three. Despite early challenges, including language barriers and career transitions, she built a successful recruitment practice and developed long-standing partnerships with healthcare organizations and regulatory stakeholders. Over time, she has helped place hundreds of physicians across Florida, particularly in areas facing provider shortages.
Her work centers on physician recruitment strategy, regulatory navigation, and healthcare workforce development, with a strong emphasis on bilingual and culturally competent providers. She is actively involved in initiatives supporting healthcare access for underserved populations, including collaboration on legislative efforts aimed at protecting physician licensing pathways in critical-need areas. In addition to her executive work, she is known for a values-driven leadership style rooted in service, integrity, and community impact, with a focus on strengthening both healthcare systems and the professionals who serve within them.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Yoselyn
01What do you attribute your success to?
My faith in God has been central. I was raised Christian and learned to hear God's voice. My parents' faith and support taught me to love God and stand strong through hardships like divorce and raising three children alone. Building trust through relationships allows doctors to rely on me.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Be honest and focus on being a leader versus a boss. A leader goes with you into the field, works hard with you, teaches and motivates the team, and shares success. A boss does not care about the team and that leads to failure.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Believe in yourself, be brave, work hard, respect others, and never be afraid to try new things because you will learn in the process. Get your education, stay open to opportunities, and remember that as women working together we are better. Never stop learning.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The field is male-dominated so being a woman and Latina presented challenges including racism and language barriers. I overcame this by perfecting my English, doing thorough research before meetings, and responding to negativity with love and intelligence while demanding respect.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Honesty is key because if you are honest people will love you. Be responsible, humble, and someone others can emulate. Lead by example, motivate, understand, care for, and respect employees to achieve better results for the company.
