Her Story

About Yulieth Jules

I've been working in customer service for over 10 years, and for the past 3+ years I've been focused on customer success with my current company based out of Seattle. I work with major sports teams and live event venues, providing POS systems and technology solutions to stadiums and vendors. My current partners include the Florida Panthers, the Florida Marlins, and several smaller baseball teams throughout the U.S., and we're preparing to work with the PGA and NASCAR. I manage multiple entities under single portfolios, handling implementation, training, reporting issues, and menu issues for each client. I work hybrid hours covering both Eastern and Pacific time zones, and I'm available 24/7 for my partners. Before this role, I worked in pharmaceutical production, managing accounts like Sugar Bear Hair Care and Nature's Bounty, where I handled everything from production to fulfillment and relationship management. I attended FAU briefly for communications, but work opportunities were bigger for me at that time, so I jumped into the field. I'm now at a high-level position that typically requires a master's degree, but my experience has spoken for itself. I work in a very male-driven industry, so I've learned to be patient, keep things professional, and let my work speak for itself.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The greatest piece of advice I've received throughout my career is not to take anything personally, and to take emotion out of work. They're not angry at you, they're angry at the situation, or the circumstance, or the product, or whatever it is. At the very beginning of my career in this specific industry, which is very male-driven, I was dealing with a lot of strong personalities. So for me, it was very important to make sure that I keep it professional, and stick to the points, stick to what matters, and the rest stays where it stays.

02What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I believe in finishing everything that you start, and constantly educating yourself in your field. As I work with a lot of different personalities in a very male-driven industry, it's very important to keep your wits about you. It's very important for me to be honest with my customers and have their best interest as my top priority. I work with very high-profile customers, dealing with a lot of different entities within one account, so it's very important to make my customer feel comfortable, make sure that I know what I'm talking about, make sure that I accomplish everything I promise, and make sure that their feedback, which is the most important, is applied, because we do develop the software around our customer as well. I value growth, learning, taking on new challenges, finding better ways to do things for them, especially in the fast-paced environment that I'm in, such as sports and live entertainment overall. I'm very motivated by impact. I'm also someone who keeps lines of communication open 24 hours a day. I'm not one of those people that's like, okay, it's 5 o'clock, I'm done, nobody call me. For me, lines of communication are open 24 hours a day, and I think that builds value and trust.
