Yvelle Green serves as a project manager and consultant in Oakland, California. She has worked in the solar industry and green technology since 2008, accumulating over 20 years of experience across various organizations in project management, sales operations, and solar operations. Her role often involves supporting sales teams to improve efficiency and effectiveness while managing project scope, budget, and timelines. Green earned her PMP certification this year through the Project Management Institute after demonstrating a proven track record and completing rigorous requirements. She holds a mass communication degree and completed a solar design and installation class in Menlo Park, California, in 2008. Additionally, she served 14 years as a sergeant in the United States Army Reserve, which contributed to her can-do attitude and leadership skills. Green attributes her professional approach to strong values of integrity, honesty, and authenticity, emphasizing clear communication and a process-oriented mindset developed throughout her career.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to spirituality, believing we are all connected, that good always outweighs the bad, love, and gratitude. I am a spiritual being having a human experience, and it's about loving yourself, loving others, and being grateful even in small things like picking an orange off the tree.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice is to be authentically me. When I step into any room, my goal is to be 100% authentically myself, my laugh, my smile, how I show up and present myself is all me, and those who like it are my people.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest opportunity right now is expanding my network and connecting with like-minded people who support me and have the same aspirations to be better today than yesterday. It's about listening to new ideas, growing, and expanding.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity is my number one value, along with honesty and standing in my truth. It's important to do what I say I'm going to do, even when it doesn't feel good, and to make the hard choices and follow through, especially when no one's looking.
