Her career reflects a longstanding commitment to leadership, mentorship, public service, and creating opportunities for the next generation. In addition to her law enforcement career, Yvette is an accomplished author and has published more than 30 self-help books. Her work includes *What Is Grief?*, which achieved Amazon bestseller status. She believes that lasting success requires balance across emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being and encourages others to develop all three areas of their lives. Her career, writing, mentorship, and humanitarian initiatives reflect a life centered on service, perseverance, faith, and helping others move forward.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Yvette

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to spirituality and mindset. I became an ordained minister at 16 years old, and my spiritual foundation has continued to shape the way I approach my life, work, and responsibilities. Maintaining the right mindset and staying grounded in my faith have been important parts of my ability to persevere and continue moving forward.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Know your worth, because people who don’t know what they have, they cannot tell what they’re looking for and they will never ever find what they want in their very own purposeful, journey called LIFE………

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women is to stay balanced emotionally, physically, and spiritually. I believe all three areas are important to succeeding in life. It is important to take care of yourself as a whole person and maintain balance rather than focusing on only one area of your life. Emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being can provide the foundation needed to navigate challenges and continue growing.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Currently AI is the biggest challenge to mankind. I place my total trust in (DI) - Divine Intelligence of the Holy Spirit! I highly recommend the published manuscript entitled: Praise-A-Cise Prayer Partners, inspires us how to balance body, mind & spirit through prayer. Now available on Amazon, written by, Rhonda Dula, she is a Vietnam War Combat Veteran.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Spirituality is one of the most important values in my work and personal life because it helps me remain morally grounded. Loyalty is also extremely important to me, both in my relationships and in the way I approach my responsibilities.

I also believe strongly in forgiveness. I believe in forgiving every day and not allowing past difficulties to prevent me from moving forward. These values—spirituality, loyalty, and forgiveness—have helped shape the way I live and the way I interact with others.
