About Yvette

Yvette Victorian brings 59 years of experience to her work as a community advocate, nonprofit leader, and consumer resource specialist. She founded the Velveteen Rabbit Project and is associated with DePaul USA / Jericho Way, New Image Emergency Shelter, the League of Women Voters, Pulaski County Democrats, NAMI, NAACP, and AARP. Her professional credentials include Peer Support Specialist, Healthcare Navigator, Housing Navigator, and certification in Suicide Prevention. She earned an Achievement Award and is a member of the Honor Society and National Leadership Society. Currently completing her bachelor's degree in a communications program at the University of Arkansas, she anticipates attending law school in the fall with the goal of becoming a consumer lawyer. Her volunteer initiatives focus on helping women over 60 return to college, initiating yoga in parks in Arkansas, and supporting homeless and aging people.
