Above all, she encourages aspiring professionals to persevere, take pride in their individuality, and never give up on their goals.

Ten minutes with Yvonne
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my ability to build genuine, personal relationships with the people I work with. Although my role is sales-focused, I believe successful business relationships go beyond simply discussing business. I make an effort to get to know my clients as individuals, understand their lives and priorities, and connect with them on a personal level. I believe that people are more than their professional roles; they are individuals with families, responsibilities, and lives outside of work. By being relatable, authentic, and genuinely invested in the people I serve, I have earned their trust and confidence in managing their business needs and supporting their employees. Taking this people-centered approach has allowed me to build strong relationships and achieve lasting success.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is to trust your instincts and follow your own path. Do not allow negative opinions or outside expectations to influence your decisions or define what you believe you are capable of achieving. Earlier in my own journey, I pursued an educational path largely to prove to others that I could accomplish it, rather than choosing something I genuinely wanted to pursue. If I could go back, I would encourage myself to follow my own interests and passions. Wake up each day proud of who you are, stay focused on your goals, tune out the negative noise, and most importantly, never give up.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I believe one of the biggest challenges in my field is standing out in a competitive market where there is always someone offering similar consulting services. Because sales is highly relationship-driven, it is important to stay consistently connected with clients, understand their needs, and ensure they receive the level of service they deserve. I see this as both a challenge and an opportunity to strengthen relationships by remaining responsive, proactive, and committed to delivering value. By maintaining open communication and consistently following through for my clients, I can build trust and loyalty while demonstrating why they can rely on me rather than looking elsewhere.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me in both my professional and personal life are balance, humility, and staying grounded. Career success can require a significant investment of time and energy, sometimes at the expense of family and loved ones, so I have learned the importance of creating space for the people and experiences that matter most. As I have become more established in my career, I have also recognized that it is okay to take a step back and prioritize balance. I remain humble by remembering where I started, the people who taught and guided me, and the experiences that helped me grow into the person and professional I am today. I believe success should never change how you treat others, and I strive to remain relatable and respectful regardless of someone's background or career path. Everyone's journey looks different, and I value learning from the unique ways people define and achieve success.
