About Yvonne
Yvonne Doll has spent 25 years in tech, serving as head of design for product and SaaS companies. She led product design and research teams, including at Kustomer where she helped codify UX standards and integrate AI tools to boost quality and productivity while remaining hands-on with design work. Earlier roles include time at WordPress managing a global team and work on Apartments.com. Her background in fine art from the Art Institute of Chicago informs her approach, and she continues to pursue painting and music alongside her design career.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
As women in tech we do a lot of emotional work which can be exhausting. Misogyny is often not intentional but systemic. Stay extraordinarily patient but stand up for yourself. Treat colleagues like clients to connect with them. Use tools like Gemini Notetaker to document contributions. Protect your sanity and well-being and don't let unfair treatment take away your joy.
