Yvonne Thomson

Yvonne Thomson began her career with a passion for internal communications, recognizing its critical role in shaping employee experiences during challenging corporate events. She advanced at Symantec from communications into HR, overseeing employee surveys, culture programs, and integration during mergers and acquisitions while incorporating DEI strategies. After the company's closure in 2020, she transitioned to patient advocacy, earning board-certified patient advocate credentials. She now serves as a board member of the VEXIS Foundation, manages an online support group for those affected by rare illnesses, and advocates for patients and underserved voices in her semi-retirement.
