About Zahra
Zahra Naini serves as Clinic Manager at a neurology clinic in Houston, Texas. She began in this role part-time while completing her undergraduate studies and transitioned to full-time after obtaining her medical assistant license. Naini earned her bachelor's degree in biochemistry from Houston Christian University in December 2024. Prior to her current position, she worked as a lab technician in a research lab studying neurodegenerative diseases including ALS. She is now applying to medical school, considering fields such as psychiatry and anesthesiology. Naini draws inspiration from her father, a physician, and her older sister who also pursued medicine. Her high school emphasized medical professions, which helped foster her passion for the field. In addition to her professional work, Naini volunteers at the Houston Humane Society and has organized holiday packages for the homeless community in Houston for four years. She is passionate about mental health awareness and suicide prevention.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Even though medicine seems very logic-based and direct, the path isn't always linear and it's very personal. Don't compare yourself to others; if you have passion, you will achieve what you want even if it looks different.
