About Zainab
I have been working in my field for five years and hold a master's degree in religion, which I completed in 2021. Currently, I am pursuing a PhD in the History and Ethnography of Religion. My professional expertise centers on qualitative research, teaching, and spiritual counseling, though the counseling is something I enjoy doing personally rather than in a formal capacity. I am an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Religion, the African Studies Association for the United States, and the Religious Studies Association. I am also in the process of completing my registration with the Canadian African Studies Association. Looking ahead to the next five years, I see myself having earned my doctorate in the History and Ethnography of Religion and probably serving as a chaplain. I want to teach and conduct research while simultaneously helping people with their spiritual care.
