I am an accounting and finance professional with over a decade of experience in financial reporting, compliance, and operations management across nonprofit, international development, and corporate sectors, currently serving as Accounting Operations Manager at Kisuma Americas, Inc., a role I have held since March 2025, where I prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring compliance with GAAP and IFRS standards, manage general ledger entries and accounts payable and receivable, oversee inventory valuation and cost allocation for polymer additive products, monitor key financial KPIs, and support budgeting and forecasting processes.

Prior to this role, I served as Account Manager at RUPANI Foundation for seven months, where I prepared and maintained accurate financial records, managed accounts payable and receivable, conducted monthly and annual financial closings, prepared tax returns, processed payroll, monitored cash flow, and provided financial analysis to support decision-making. I also spent over four years at Roots of Peace in progressively responsible roles, including Senior Account Manager and Senior Accounting Manager, where I reviewed financial transactions, provided financial analysis and recommendations, developed training content, ensured compliance with donor agency regulations, coordinated audit activities, and oversaw financial reporting and forecasting.

Earlier in my career, I served as Finance Specialist at DAI and USAID for over a year, where I managed tax reports, submitted tax documents to the Ministry of Finance, ensured compliance with Afghan Law and USAID regulations, processed cash transactions and wire transfers in FAS, and maintained organized financial files for audit trail. I also served as Finance Specialist at Catholic Relief Services for nearly three years, where I ensured correct implementation of accounts receivable policies, verified vouchers, prepared bi-monthly financial reports, reconciled balance sheet accounts, prepared staff salaries and income taxes, and maintained regular contact with department managers to ensure compliance and improved systems performance.

I hold a Certification in Professional Tax Preparer from Universal Accounting and a Certification in Project Management from the University of Houston-Downtown.
