About Zehra
Zehra Seniha Veli is an entrepreneur, marketing professional, and business leader based in Haymarket, Virginia. She is the Co-Founder and Sales Manager of Svel Goods, where she focuses on building strong client relationships and helping businesses find effective solutions for their shipping, packaging, and branding needs. She also serves as Marketing Manager at Svel Labels, applying her skills in market research, product design, branding, and quality control. Zehra holds a degree in Psychology from The University of Texas at Dallas, an academic background that complements her understanding of people, communication, and consumer behavior. Beyond her primary ventures, Zehra has pursued several entrepreneurial and creative projects. She previously built a jewelry business and continues to maintain an online jewelry store as a hobby, while also exploring the vintage resale market through a multi-year experience buying and reselling Y2K-era Coach handbags. She is additionally developing Veli House Productions with her sister, a video production company focused on commercial videos and social media content for brands and businesses. Across these ventures, Zehra has developed a strong interest in marketing, brand identity, social media, sales, and understanding what drives customer engagement and demand. Zehra approaches entrepreneurship as a continuous process of exploration, learning, and growth. She believes in pursuing different interests, stepping outside her comfort zone, and remaining honest about where her skills and energy can create the greatest impact. Her professional philosophy emphasizes passion, faith, thoughtful time management, and surrounding herself with people who genuinely care about their work. She also places strong importance on family, crediting her family for providing grounding, perspective, and honest feedback as she navigates the demands of building multiple businesses and creative projects.

01What do you attribute your success to?
Keeping my family at the center of my life provides grounding and honest feedback. Combining my psychology background with business and sales has been meaningful.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Surround yourself with people who are honest and passionate about their work, not motivated by money or recognition. My father has been an important mentor.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
It's hard to take that first step but don't let the negative self-talk get to you. Surround yourself with passionate people who love what they do, stay open to learning, and don't be afraid to build something that reflects who you are.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is effective time management while balancing multiple businesses and projects. Managing competing priorities requires strong organization, strategic planning, and the ability to allocate my time efficiently while maintaining high-quality results across each endeavor.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me are grit, perseverance, hard work, and passion. I believe in staying committed to my goals, putting in the effort required to overcome challenges, and approaching everything I do with genuine enthusiasm. At the same time, I keep my family at the center of my life because they provide honest feedback, perspective, and the grounding I need to stay focused and authentic.
