What do you attribute your success to?
Being taught how to be self sufficient, to take initiative, to treat others with dignity and respect and to always lead by example.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to “work smart, not hard,” focusing on efficiency, strategy, and making the best use of your time and energy.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to be yourself, be bold, be candid, and stay open to learning every aspect of the job. Don't be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone, complacency is the enemy.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
In recruiting, the biggest challenge is maintaining momentum considering client needs can rapidly change. There are some weeks where I have no orders, so there are no jobs to offer the clientele. Then other times orders spike and there are multiple jobs and no associates to fill them. It's hard to find that happy medium. When I was in pharmacy operations, it was more about people challenges - balancing between the customers and my staff, finding that happy medium. Some of the customers were discourteous and maintaining professionalism while protecting my staff was a necessity.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Honesty, integrity, and strong business ethics are the values that matter most to me in both my work and personal life.
