About Zeva
Zeva Rosenbaum is a marketing communications specialist with 6 to 7 years of experience spanning multiple industries including manufacturing, nonprofit organizations, consumer packaged goods, hospitality, and activism. She recently oversaw a grassroots political campaign with no budget, building an audience of 12,000 to 13,000 across platforms, raising approximately $3,000, and securing 17% of the vote against an incumbent. In a prior role, Rosenbaum increased social media statistics by 1400% on Instagram over six months while boosting engagement across other platforms. She earned her bachelor's degree in creative writing with a minor in business from Oregon State University in 2024, having started her education later after being homeschooled and navigating gap years due to illnesses and the COVID pandemic, all while working in her field. Rosenbaum attributes her success to a 'fake it till you make it' approach, emphasizing experimentation, trusting the process, and self-teaching skills such as website building on various platforms. She is passionate about political campaign communications and nonprofit work for their potential positive community impact and enjoys journalistic writing from her earlier experiences. Looking ahead, she aims to deepen her involvement in political communications and continue contributing to nonprofits while considering pursuing an MBA.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Zeva
01What do you attribute your success to?
Fake it till you make it. Keep trying stuff even if you don't know what you're doing. Trust the process and experiment. I didn't learn how to build a website in a classroom, I just taught myself how to do it on random platforms.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Build up the skill set outside of the classroom if you can and keep learning stuff. Be really aggressive with job applications. Get involved with student media for marketing, social media, design. Volunteer with nonprofits and small orgs to get experience and build a portfolio.
