Her Interview

Ten minutes with Zia

01What do you attribute your success to?

My success is attributed to my siblings. I have always worked as hard as i do to make sure they never have to struggle the way i did growing up, with anything. Although i dont say it enough, i also attribute my success to younger me. The visionary before i even was able to decipher the full vision. She deserves this more than anything.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

the best career advice ive ever received is to always focus on staying focused, remain resilient and humble, and last but not least, to never look at failure as anything less than a lesson meant to steer me in the right direction.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

The advice i would give to young women entering my industry is to know yourself, before anything. Know who you are, know what you want, and plan strategically. Always make your next move better than your last move. & Never take no as a final answer.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Theres so many challenges in my field, always. I would have to say the biggest challenge right now though is rebranding. What people dont understand about elevation is that with each new level of success you reach, theres a different version of you that has to grow with it. Theres always more to learn, always a more professional image or approach.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Values that i value would have to be transparency. Transparency is the foundation behind everything, it builds trust and trust builds credibility. My personal life is extremely integrated in my work life. i definitely have a system where my work life balance funnels everything through the same tunnel to ensure im always on the same page with myself.
