Her Interview

Ten minutes with Zoya

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my diverse career journey and the experiences I gained working on movie sets, which helped shape my creative and professional foundation. These opportunities led me to build my own production company, Look At Me, where I’ve been able to apply my skills to high-end campaigns for clients such as JD Sports and various gaming commercials.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Don't stop, never quit even when it's difficult emotionally and physically. Be a real person and stay true to yourself rather than fake in the entertainment industry. Don't be afraid of failures because there's always a solution.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't be afraid to ask and go for it. Don't be shy. Stand out and be noticeable. It's a tough industry so be ready it's not a fairy world, but if you love it and persist you can make something great.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Being a woman producer in a male-dominated industry requires a different mindset to earn respect right away. Clients still want real practical footage despite AI availability, making work intense but rewarding when the vision comes to life.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I'm a perfectionist who ensures everything is set well and researches clients thoroughly. I focus on creating happy, chill work environments by connecting nice people and making sure everyone on set is happy, especially celebrities.
