The Idea She Could Not Stop Thinking About
When curiosity became too persistent to ignore.
When curiosity became too persistent to ignore.
We come here as spiritual beings to have a human experience. We live, love and evolve. When we cross the veil, we see all and it all feels like a dream.
What started as an idea on my heart to create a 30-day affirmation book that empowers women to embrace their worth, faith, confidence, and purpose would not let me go. I bet on myself, turned the vision into action, and today I am proud to say that idea is now a self-published book and a reminder that the dreams we act on can become our reality.
For years I lived in darkness, in the shadows of the woman I was. Abuse, mental health struggles and self worth issues. It was the moment I won the love of my husband and then won the Mrs. Texas United Crown of America title and realized, I am "A Light Beyond the Shadows". That was my awakening and now, I help others through my platform and talk about where I was and how that made me who I've become.
I believe when you can't stop thinking about something, another version of you, perhaps in a different timeline, already has it. This is why it stays as a constant on your mind.
An idea stayed with me for years, shaping my thoughts even when I tried to focus on other things. It was the belief that young people deserve guidance that helps them grow into confident, responsible adults who can think clearly, act with integrity, and create solutions for the world they are inheriting. No matter where I was or what I was doing, this idea kept returning. It followed me through my work in technology, cybersecurity, sustainability, and education. It stayed with me during moments of clarity and moments of doubt. It simply refused to leave. When I finally decided to explore it, my life changed. I placed this idea at the center of my choices. I shaped my environment around my priorities. I took risks that aligned with my values. I trusted my own path, even when it meant standing alone. I allowed myself to evolve, to stay open, and to adapt quickly without worrying about predicted outcomes. I focused on today, and that focus brought peace. This decision led me to guide hundreds of young people. I watched them discover confidence, curiosity, and a sense of responsibility that transformed their lives. Their growth became my greatest achievement. It confirmed that the idea I could not stop thinking about was not just a thought. It was a calling. I did not chase recognition. I chased purpose. And when I finally followed that idea, it became the work I was meant to do. It became the way I contribute to humanity. It became the way I live.
Veterinarians carry an enormous amount of stress, compassion fatigue, moral injury, and burnout. After serving as a phone and in-person medical resource for hundreds of veterinarians, it became clear to me that a significant contributor to that strain is managing difficult cases alone, often outside your comfort zone and without timely access to specialty guidance. The idea that kept returning to me was simple: what if every veterinarian had a broad expert network behind them, around the clock, to ease clinical indecision and lighten that load? With that idea, a drive to teach, and a genuine desire to empower veterinarians to provide the best possible care, I dove in head first and built a custom solution for my colleagues. Since then, we have supported thousands of veterinarians across the US, Canada, and beyond, improving the care of the pets who depend on them.
