Ada is a seasoned transportation professional with a career spanning more than three decades. Since entering the industry in 1989, she has built a reputation as a trusted Director of Sales, managing both national and regional accounts with a strong focus on relationship-driven sales. Her role includes collaborating closely with manufacturers and distributors, negotiating and managing logistics contracts, and ensuring operational excellence for her clients. Based in the Midwest, Ada works remotely while traveling frequently for in-person meetings, valuing face-to-face connections as a cornerstone of long-term client partnerships.


Deeply engaged in industry leadership, Ada is actively involved with the National Food and Protein Distributors Association, where she serves on the scholarship committee and holds the role of treasurer. She is passionate about supporting students pursuing higher education and takes pride in recognizing the dedication and effort of scholarship recipients. Ada also serves as co-chair for Food Shippers of America, helping plan conventions and initiatives that support food and beverage shippers nationwide. Her professional involvement reflects her commitment to advancing the industry and giving back to the next generation.


Outside of work, Ada treasures time with her four grandchildren and enjoys a balanced lifestyle that includes travel, reading, and relaxing weekends at the lake. Having built her career in a traditionally male-dominated field, she is a strong advocate for perseverance, grit, and learning every aspect of the business. Ada encourages women entering transportation to stay confident, handle challenges with professionalism, and pursue opportunities boldly. I attribute my success to my genuine enjoyment of working with people and my commitment to building strong, meaningful relationships.

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Entering the transportation and logistics industry as a woman comes with unique challenges, but it is also incredibly rewarding. I began my career in customer service and billing before transitioning into sales, and along the way I learned the value of perseverance, grit, and developing a deep understanding of every aspect of the business.

While the industry remains largely male-dominated and there are occasional challenges. I’ve found that handling these situations with professionalism and confidence is essential. Staying focused on your goals and maintaining your integrity will carry you through.

To young women starting out, my advice is to persist, seek out opportunities, and learn from those who have paved the way. There are many inspiring female professionals in our field, and their success shows that with determination, knowledge, and resilience, you can thrive and make a meaningful impact.
