Her Interview

Ten minutes with Andrea

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to resilience, curiosity, and a commitment to continuous growth. I believe success is built through a willingness to learn, adapt, and persevere even in the face of challenges and self-doubt. Throughout my journey, I have intentionally sought opportunities to expand my knowledge, develop new skills, and step outside my comfort zone.

At the same time, I recognize that success is never achieved alone. Building meaningful relationships, supporting others, and being part of a strong community have played an essential role in both my personal and professional growth. Those experiences have shaped not only who I am, but also how I approach leadership, collaboration, and lifelong learning.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I have ever received is to raise my hand, take risks, and trust myself. I have learned that growth happens when I step outside my comfort zone and embrace opportunities, even when the path ahead is uncertain. Progress is rarely linear, and success does not have to follow someone else’s timeline or definition.

One of the most valuable lessons I have learned is to stay true to my own journey, recognize my unique strengths, and move forward with confidence. That philosophy is reflected in the name of my blog, Own Your Own Path, where I encourage others to embrace their individuality, define success on their own terms, and create a career journey that is authentic to who they are.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering my industry is to not wait until they feel completely ready before taking action. Embrace opportunities that challenge you, because some of the greatest growth happens outside of your comfort zone.

Authenticity is one of your greatest strengths. Stay true to who you are while building meaningful relationships, learning from others, and seeking out connections that support your growth. Most importantly, advocate for yourself, trust your abilities, and have the confidence to take initiative. Your perspective and experiences are valuable, and you have the power to create your own path to success.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenges and opportunities in my field right now stem from the rapid pace of technological change, including advancements in automation and artificial intelligence that are transforming how we operate. While these changes require continuous learning, adaptability, and a willingness to evolve, they also present exciting opportunities to embrace innovation and create more efficient, impactful solutions. I believe the key is balancing technological progress with a human-centered approach, ensuring that we continue to build trust, strengthen relationships, and deliver meaningful value in an increasingly digital world.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide both my professional and personal life are integrity, resilience, and service. I believe in doing what is right, leading with honesty, and staying grounded through challenges and moments of uncertainty. Resilience has shaped my journey by teaching me the importance of adaptability, perseverance, and continuing to move forward with purpose.

I am passionate about supporting others, creating meaningful connections, and helping people recognize their strengths and potential. These values influence how I approach my work, my relationships, and the communities I am part of. Ultimately, I strive to make a positive impact by showing up with authenticity, compassion, and a commitment to helping others grow.
