Her Story
About Molly
Molly Stover is the owner of MC Salon and Spa, a full-service hair salon and spa located in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. She began her career in the beauty industry in 2006 while attending cosmetology school, and after fifteen years of working alongside founder Marci Kona, she purchased the salon in 2022. Today she leads a team of thirty stylists and staff, serving thousands of clients annually while continuing to work with guests herself several days a week. With nearly two decades of experience as a hair color consultant and hair loss specialist, she has built a career rooted in technical expertise, mentorship, and a deep commitment to client care.
Beyond the salon chair, Stover has distinguished herself as an innovator and educator within the beauty industry. She spent several years as a brand educator for Wella, training stylists and presenting at major industry conventions across the country, and she continues to serve as an independent product innovation consultant, partnering with a Fortune 500 company to help shape the future of hair color technology. As a certified trichology practitioner, she also provides specialized consultations for clients experiencing hair and scalp loss, working to help them regain confidence through wigs, hairpieces, and other restorative solutions. Her dedication to sustainable and clean beauty practices led her to transition her salon's product lines to fully sustainable, B Corp-certified offerings.
Deeply invested in her community, Stover chairs community outreach for the Akron Walk to End Alzheimer's and hosts an annual Caregiver's Corner, giving free treatments to those caring for loved ones with Alzheimer's or dementia. She also serves as the official hair and makeup provider for the Ms. Wheelchair USA pageant and supports local artists by displaying their work throughout her salon, with proceeds from any sales going directly back to the artists. Guided by a philosophy of hard work and treating people right, Molly Stover continues to build a business defined by generosity, craftsmanship, and genuine care for the people she serves.
